IN FLANDERS FIELDS.
In Flanders field the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

I'm pleased to report that DH's test results showed no sign of H1N1, although he was quite poorly with whatever it was. He is now much improved and went back to work late last week. DS and i seem to have escaped the germs, fingers crossed it stays that way as i know lots of people who are unwell right now.

Stitching news - Christmas Wishes by Linda Bodkin of
Loopylou Designs is finished, i decided against the doves eyes in the bottom hardanger panel as i prefer it without. The threads of this one are different to those the charts asks for too although they are basically the same colours. I also finished the final part of the hardanger bookmark from Clare
Aimetu
Beatrix also has a motif added but as there is only one more to add till its completed i'll save that for the happy dance!
Just Nans Lady Scarlet has also grown and there are 4 more bands added. Its such a lovely one to stitch, hopefully i'll be on target for a finish in 2009 if i can get part 2 done this month but its that time of the year again when we are all busy with secret projects that can't be shown as we are secretly sending goodies off to santa for friends and family.
I hope you have all had some productive stitching time and the bugs and germs are keeping well away from you. Thanks for visiting.
