The strangest of times for everyone. I never thought i would experience anything like it in my lifetime. So many lives lost and so many people who have gone way beyond their normal occupations to keep us all safe, fed and helping those in need.
I have not been around in blogland for a while but that does not mean i have not been thinking of you often.
With my health problems, a major mental health meltdown and living on the outskirts of the only city with restrictions since the beginning of this pandemic and having to shield at home since March and still continuing to do so has been very challenging.
A simple quiet Christmas for many. Apart from loved ones for lots of us. I hope you have been able to find comfort in some way as you celebrated your Christmas in the safest way possible for you and your family.
It's been just hubby and myself here today with phone calls and chats with the wider family.
Sending Christmas wishes from our home to yours and wishing you good things in the months to come.
Thank you to those who have been in touch whilst i've been away, it really meant a lot.
Take care, stay safe
Love and blessings
Julie

Merry Christmas. Thank you for posting Julie, as I've not known whether to try & find out how to get in touch as I thought I had your email address, then I get scared about the etiquette side of things. Like you, something I never thought I'd experience in my 70+ years on this earth. Quiet day for us too & our tough restrictions here in Victoria are now being touted as the toughest in the world, though a lot have eased at he moment. We've seen our DD 3 times this year now & our 2 boys are interstate so that has been well over a year and more. Lucky we saw DD in UK last year, but it now seems so long ago... Hope you had a pleasant day, take care, stay safe & hugs from down under.
ReplyDeleteSo good to see a post from you Julie. Yours is one of the first blogs I read and i always looked forward to seeing what you had been making. I have thought about you often but like Susan didnt know whether to contact you. So sorry you have been suffering, it's been such a hard year on people, I'm a worrier by nature and it expands ten fold if I dwell to much on what's going on so I understand some of what you are going through. Let's hope next year will start to see us coming out of this virus and back to a more normal way of living. Take care x
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas, so nice to see you back today. Let's hope things improve with the vaccines next year and that we'll all be able to get out and about and meet up with friends and family again. I'll be going for walks, looking out for the Spring flowers and doing plenty of colourful crochet in the meantime. Take care
ReplyDeleteNice to see your post! Merry Christmas and best wishes for the new year!

It has been a difficult year for the majority of people, we rely on so many others to keep our lives 'normal', Here is 2021 being kinder and less challenging x

ReplyDeleteHappy New Year - do you think this year will be as strange as last year?
ReplyDeleteJulie xxxxx
Been awhile since I've blogged as well. Just wasn't in the mood I guess. With everything being canceled and closed and trying to well, and the added mess of the elections, it's been quite a year. We're just starting to have restrictions lifted, though hubby and I have not been in a store since last March, or visited anyone in person since then. Even doing facetime visits with my 95 year old Dad who's in assisted living. But, there's hope in site...I hope. We've gotten our first Covid Injection and are scheduled for the 2nd one in a couple of weeks, so that gives me hope. Stay well, stay safe.
ReplyDeleteHello Julie, i hope everything's alright with you and your family. Keep safe always.
ReplyDeleteHug's, Mylene
Hello Mylene, thank you stopping by. We are ok xx
DeletePopping back in to see how you are. We got our 2nd injection and are feeling more hopeful. We can now schedule a mini visit with my Dad, but socially distant and masks of course will continue. It's a step towards normalcy. We're planning a little get away at a half way point between us and our daughter now that she too is fully inoculated. Looking forward to that. Hope to hear from you soon.
ReplyDeleteHi Sandy, we too have now had both vaccines. Social distancing still happening here and i've met with a friend locally for a coffee. My mum is visiting later this month which will be good for all. X
DeleteHi Julie,
ReplyDeleteLooks like you have a lot of comments here. Don't know if you'll find your way to this one or not. I haven't forgotten you. I haven't been good about writing though. Sorry. I was looking through some of my bookmarks on my computer and came across this one. Didn't know if you were still keeping up with it. I was happy to see you posted in December. All of our holidays last year were ruined by the pandemic.
I hear Hubby bringing the burgers in off the grill. Better close this.
Much Love,
Judy from USA
Waving a hello to you Judy. It's been a very strange time for all, more like a horror movie than something in real life! Take care x
ReplyDeletePopping back in, have several times; but haven't left messages each time. I hope you're ok, and that you've not given up on blogging. So figured I'ld leave a note this time. Hope to hear from youi.
ReplyDeletePopping back in to say hi, wondering how you're doing. It has been a challenging almost 2 years; the internet has helped me; soooooooo, hope to see you back. It's been awhile since I've left you a message. I too was gone from blogging for awhile; but am hoping to hear from you. Take care.
ReplyDeletePopping back in to say hi, hoping you're doing well. I am getting back into more regular blogging thus my additional visit. Hope you'll swing by for a visit and let me know how you're doing.
ReplyDeleteThought I'd pop in one more time. Hope things are improving for you. If you get back to blogging, please visit and let me know so I can add you back to my blog log. My best to you and yours.
