Winter Warmers

It's been a time of more knitting than stitching recently.

Remember my Christmas wool gift from DH.....

I've knitted up the purple West Yorkshire Spinners double knitting ball into a thick pair of socks for myself and as we have been having some flakes of winter snow today, I've been wearing them ... very comfy and cosy warm.

A heating problem at work for DD and fingers chilled to the bone.  Can you be professional in your job whilst wearing fingerless mitts in a jazzy colour?

A perfect fit and she loved them......

A message from a family member for an extra layer for a little one......

The monthly challenge is stitched and a small exchange gift that needs to be in the post next week is also completed but you'll have to wait before I can reveal both of those.

Have a lovely weekend

Blessings to all

Julie

Lovely gloves, I wear a bright pair at my desk in the winter too. Your needles must move at quite some speed to do all of that. Great work

Such lovely knitted pieces, Julie! We've been having heating problems at work this year, too, and my boss has been wearing fingerless gloves off and on--although not as pretty as those you made for your daughter! I do love those purple socks--perfect for these frigid days :)

Hope you have a relaxing weekend with lots of knitting time!

Everything you turn your hand to Julie is always so perfect. Your knitted garments are so special. If it is as cold there as it is here you will need those winter woolies.Hugs to both.x

It's the same here, I'm knitting more than stitching too at the moment, I think it's this wintery weather that puts us in the mood to make cosy things and all three of your projects look very cosy indeed. There's nothing nicer than warm, hand knitted socks on a cold day and those fingerless mitts look very jazzy indeed, I bet your daughter was thrilled with those. Such a lovely little knit for the little one, I do like that pattern.

I love the fingerless mitts, nice and bright for these dull, grey days xx

I love all your knitting--it's gorgeous! Sounds like you're having more of a winter than we are. We've had less than an inch of snow since Christmas, very unusual for this part of the country.

Gorgeous socks and wondeful fingerless mittens. Never mind professional looking, it's not very professional of the management to freeze them all!

Beautiful finishes! And if the heat isn't high enough at work, she needs mitts, end of story. :)

Your knitting must have kept you very busy, Julie. And you produced such beautiful things. Those socks really look very comfy, and so do the fingerless gloves. And the little cardigan is so lovely.

Oh I love the socks you made. I got a pair of those fingerless gloves for Christmas so did Jeremiah. He loves his!! I haven't been cold enough to need mine yet. Love the colors you picked though.
